Establishing Hope!
Dashir Community Health Centre began its remarkable journey in 2020. What started as a seed planted during a global pandemic has grown into a powerful, transformative movement—one rooted in health, life, and love. Today, that seed has flourished into an expanding network of essential services that continues to uplift communities and inspire hope.
2020–2021: March Medical “Madness”
Launch of the nonprofit, construction of the health clinic, and opening of essential medical services.
2022–2023: Raising Hope
Expansion into Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) services and the development of community outreach programs.
2024–2025: Expanding Hope
Growth into comprehensive maternity care, ultrasound services, dental and optical programs, and education initiatives.

Short Stories
RCH* Care for Jesca and Briget
Here is mom Jesca with her one year old daughter Briget. Jesca started in the *Reproductive Child Health program just after we opened the service in 2023. Jesca and Briget are among our first complete RCH “graduates”! 
– from family planning to pregnancy to immunizations and post-deliver care.
Dental Care for Jakobo
We held two free dental clinics in 2025, alleviating severe pain for over 300 patients, and pulling almost 200 teeth! Dashir worker, Jakobo, smiles big every time the dentists come. He is finally pain-free for the first time in years, after treatments at three clinics over two years, removing problem teeth each time.
Government “Freedom Torch Blessing”
In June of 2024, we hosted a government delegation of almost 300 people, together with 700 local Kikwe folk. We passed their test and received their blessing! Emmanuela, the district commissioner, praised Dashir for filling the gap of providing essential medical services in the Kikwe community.
Baby #2 … and more to come!
Our second Dashir-Kikwe baby was born this year, to a grateful mom who came huffing and puffing to the clinic in the final stage of labour. Wait till next year’s report for the number of babies to go to the next level in our new maternity ward!
Establishing Hope Initiatives
Kikwe Water Projects
Clean drinking water filtration systems at the primary and secondary schools.
Staff Quarters
Quiet space for maternity workers to sleep or rest in between long shifts or while on call.
X-Ray Room and Machine
X-ray diagnostics – a key service to fill out our primary care portfolio.
Power and Water
Infrastructure to connect the new buildings.
Small Mortuary
Temporary place for the unfortunate and inevitable loss of life with maternity services.
RCH-Admin Building Part 1
Foundation and walls for our second big health building, when we outgrow the day clinic space.
Community Wellness Centre
Part 1 is a sports field for youth mentorship, right beside the health centre.
Chapel-Heritage Building
Quiet space for patients and guests to meditate and pray. Space at the rear dedicated to the history and heritage of DCPI.
