Dear Dashir Alumni and Friends

After 10 years in Tanzania, we are on the verge of a truly exciting new endeavor – Dashir Health Centre (DHC). During this COVID tourism pause, Shirley and I, Darryl, with our trusty team of three advisory couples from Canada, have been putting a few big pieces in place to support this venture and sustain it well into the future. So far, we have:

•  Secured an 8-acre parcel of virgin land right beside Dashir Lodge & Safaris.
• Started two nonprofits called “Dashir Community Projects International,” one in Tanzania (DCPI TZ) and one in Canada (DCPI CA). We are also known as “Dashir Cares.”
• Developed a website and a promotional video. Check out our video below!

And now we are ready to go! Our ambitious goal is to start building in January, and have an Outpatient Day Clinic opening July 1, 2021 – Canada Day! As you know, quality health care is a rare treat in Africa, so this will be a huge benefit for the people in our community.

For all donations, we are able to issue a receipt with our nonprofit business number in Canada. We are not able to issue tax receipts at this time (application for charitable status is underway).
